Building the Future is a series of talks hosted by Dezeen in collaboration with NeueHouse at the workspace brand’s locations in the USA during major design events in 2022.

In the first instalment of the series, Liam Young, Refik Anadol and Space Popular gathered to discuss the phenomenal rise of the metaverse at NeueHouse Hollywood as part of its programming for Frieze Los Angeles.

The second Building the Future talk takes place at NeueHouse Madison Square in New York on 20 May as part of Frieze New York, and explores afrofuturism in art and design. Joining the discussion panel is artist Fabiola Jean Louis, artist and designer Olalekan Jeyifous, and Tariq Dixon, co-founder of furniture business TRNK.
