Xixi Campus Phase 4 of a Zhejiang-Based Large Internet Company
NBBJ has conceptualised and developed Xixi Campus Phase 4 of a Zhejiang-Based Large Internet Company in Hangzhou, China.
The design of the project is inspired by one of the most scientifically effective forms in nature: the honeycomb.
The new campus is made up of multiple hexagonal honeycomb units, large and small, optimising connectivity at the planning and design level.
The courtyard and central plaza are structured like honeycomb units – where the key purpose of the design is to create a new-generation office campus with smooth connections, easy access and environmental responsibility for both employees and visitors.
"The client hope[d] to create a future-forward, green and healthy office park...a pleasant employee experience and visitor experience...a connecting space between departments and establish a dialogue between office and greening," told NBBJ.
In view of this, the design focuses on emphasising the human-centred concept and integrating the latest results of neuroscience and sustainable strategies.
This project has been shortlisted in the workplace project category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
