Sou Fujimoto

Sou Fujimoto is the founder of Tokyo-based practice Sou Fujimoto Architects.

Fujimoto has received many awards over the years including first prize in both the 2014 International Competition for the Second Folly of Montpellier, France, and for the Design Proposal for the Oita Airport Sea Access Passenger Terminal.

He was selected as master architect for the Tsuda University Kodaira Campus Master Plan development in 2019, and as the expo site design producer in 2020 for the 2025 Japan International Exposition. He was also chosen to design the Hida Takayama University.

His notable works include the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2013 (2013), House NA (2011), Musashino Art University Museum & Library (2010) and House N (2008) among others.
