The Frame Chair
YIF Design has designed the Frame Chair, a minimalist chair made from ash wood.
The Frame Chair serves as a "modern icon of refined simplicity", showcasing a sleek and uncluttered design; where the target audience is people who appreciate minimalist design and are looking for a chair that enhances the ambience and tone of their space with a minimalist aesthetic.
The chair's polished surface is devoid of any discernible joints or seams, adhering to a design ethos where less is indeed more.
Promoting a lifestyle that cherishes mindfulness, the Frame Chair invites users to find joy in simplicity and embrace satisfaction in a space unburdened by excess.
"It encourages a shift towards a more conscious living, helping individuals to find tranquillity in spaces defined by clarity and purpose, rather than material congestion," said YIF Design.
The chair is made of ash wood, known for its fine texture and durability, which embodies the minimalist design concept.
The prototype was crafted in a woodworking shop in Seattle, USA, by skilled artisans, ensuring high quality and uniqueness.
This project has been shortlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards China 2024.
