Winner: Hotel and short-stay interior of the year 2024. LIA Interior Design has designed the interiors for the Citadines Apartments Hotel, located in Yazhou Bay, Sanya, China.

The concept of this project was to create a business travel hotel that offers a great experience by integrating local cultural architecture and coastal vacation style while fully expressing traditional Chinese aesthetics.

"The basic demand of customers is to create a high-quality business travel hotel experience in the coastal resort city of Sanya," said LIA Interior Design.

"At the same time, they value Rio Design's aesthetic fusion of humanities, fashion and locality, thus giving birth to the hotel."

Due to the fact that the project is located in the tower of a shopping mall complex, there were constraints such as complex pedestrian flow lines, small internal scale of architectural planning and the inability to reflect the hotel's image well with the appearance of the mall as the main factor.
