Ma Yansong
Beijing-born Ma Yansong is founder of international practice MAD Architects.
Yansong is recognised as the first Chinese architect to win an overseas landmark-building project.
At MAD Yansong has completed major projects including the Absolute Towers, Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, Harbin Opera House, Chaoyang Park Plaza, China Philharmonic Concert Hall, FENIX Museum of Migration, Quzhou Sports Park and Shenzhen Bay Cultural Park among others.
In recent years many of Yansong's designs aim to create a balance between society, the city and the environment through architecture. Alongside his design practice, he has been exploring the cultural values of cities and architecture through domestic and international solo exhibitions, publications and artworks.
