De Graaf has a master’s degree in architecture and urban planning from the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture and a master’s in interior design from Maastricht University.
His approach to design is rooted in cultural concepts, viewing projects from the inside out, with a passion for human emotional connections to architecture and their surroundings.
With a strong focus on materiality, details and refinement, de Graaf aims to combine strength and optimism, creating spaces that inspire and foster a sense of community.

Wendy Saunders
Saunders出生并成长于布鲁日的一个工匠家庭。
在比利时根特大学获得建筑学硕士学位后,她在阿姆斯特丹的顶级设计公司工作了十年,2005 年来到中国。
她与合伙人 de Graaf 一起,在上海建立了 Aim Architecture,为他们提供了一个设计建筑和空间的机会,鼓励社会变革,促进人与人之间的联系。

Born and raised in Bruges, Saunders hails from a family of craftsmen.
After earning her master’s degree in architecture from Ghent University in Belgium, she spent a decade working in top design firms in Amsterdam before moving to China in 2005.
Together with her partner de Graaf, she established Aim Architecture in one of the world’s most rapidly evolving cities, providing an opportunity for them to design buildings and spaces that encourage social change and enable human connections.
Saunders aims to create a human-focused, passionate and fun studio. Surrounding herself with young, international and talented designers, their goal is to transform the urban fabric for a better future and use projects as a platform for change.
Saunders’ influences come from various sources including everyday street life in China, a well-crafted chair and even visceral sensations such as the smell of leather or the feel of a material.
Her design philosophy is characterised by directness, power, boldness and a touch of humour.
