CCDI International Design Consultants has designed the National Heavy Vehicle Engineering Technology Research Center in Jinan, China.
The National Heavy Vehicle Engineering and Technology Research Center is located in the centre of Jinan High-Tech Zone. The project covers an area of 22,861 square metres, with a total building area of 145,516 square metres and a tower curtain wall height of 96 metres.
The headquarters office emphasises the combination of efficiency and experience and creates a certain identity in its high-rise surroundings through the strong contrast between the minimalist suspended volumes and the rich interior spaces.
The project is located in a special position, surrounded by high-grade commercial, office and residential areas, the building should be coordinated with the surrounding space and landscape, and minimise the impact on the environment of the surrounding residential areas.
Its architectural style not only meets the needs of enterprise headquarters but also needs to be innovative and developed, reflecting the harmony and unity of high-tech industry and civil public building style.
The triangular decorative lines of anodised panels form a sunshade, which is environmentally friendly and energy-saving. Moreover, the material application of anodized aluminium panels emphasizes the stable and powerful temperament of the building.
This project has been shortlisted in the workplace project category of Dezeen Awards China 2024.
