Neri&Hu has designed the Nio Life series, which includes a duffle bag, backpacks, portable lights and a tea set.

The Nio Life series aims to help users seamlessly adapt to the dynamic lifestyle of modern urban dwellers, maintaining balance and flexibility in fast-paced city life while catering to diverse needs across different occasions and roles.

Nio Life by Neri&Hu draws inspiration from modern lifestyles, focusing on urban dwellers who frequently travel between cities, aiming to add a touch of inner tranquillity amidst the hustle and bustle.

"At the beginning of the project, we targeted Nio car owners aged 30 to 45 as the primary users for our design; multi-scenario usage is the core of our entire design project," said Neri&Hu.

The travel bag and backpack designs integrate retro elements from the 20th century with modern technology, utilising canvas, leather and metal materials to adapt to both commuting and travel scenarios.

The portable light fixture, through its innovative structural design, offers two lighting modes, using a metal mesh and natural wood to meet lighting needs in various environments.

The travel tea set enhances the cultural experience of tea tasting through carefully selected materials and innovative storage solutions, ensuring portability while minimising environmental impact.

This project has been shortlisted in the product design category of Dezeen Awards China 2024.
