The Light of Gravity
Godot Design designed an office with the theme of the Light of Gravity in Ningbo, China.
The client's vision for this project was to create an office space that fits the corporate culture and can connect with nature.
The variable height space and insufficient lighting in the project became issues that needed to be considered in the design planning.
"We used DuPont paper in the project and used it as the screen for the reception," said Godot Design. "With a built-in warm light source, the light is haloed, and the delicate texture is spread out like silk, giving the space a warm and unique humanistic texture."
As a result, the gravity device corresponding to the main entrance is suspended, and the calculation load of the mechanical structure allows it to have a perfect sight.
"Although it is invisible, light delineates the clear contours of objects and also harbours a certain boundless spiritual power within the crisscrossing of geometric lines," added Godot Design.
This project has been shortlisted in the workplace interior category of Dezeen Awards China 2024.
