Wandering

Wanxing Wang has designed Wandering, a handcrafted floor lamp inspired by the shape of bamboo leaves and the aesthetic of ink-wash painting.

The Wandering lamp is a unique lighting fixture designed to evoke deep emotions. Inspired by bamboo leaves and traditional ink painting, it blends minimalist aesthetics with Eastern cultural elements.

Crafted from white ash wood and steel with gold leaf accents, the design is both luxurious and simple. Each lamp is handcrafted by the designer, ensuring a personal touch and high-quality craftsmanship.

Aimed at art lovers and interior designers, the lamp is not just a light source but a piece of art intended to inspire reflection and emotional connection in any space.

The Wandering lamp is a personal project by the designer, not based on specific client requirements.

This design is inspired by bamboo leaves and incorporates elements of ink wash painting, bringing an uncommon artistic depth and cultural nuance to lighting design.

"This makes [Wandering] particularly appealing to those who appreciate minimalist design and the emotional resonance of East Asian aesthetics," said Wanxing Wang.

This project has been shortlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards China 2024.
